Remarks on the cultural and religious history of the Alsea, North American Northwest Coast This is a brief ethnography (including economy, kinship, religion and mythology) of the Alsea Indians, mainly based on L. Farrand, L. Frachtenberg, and P. Drucker. The group consisted of 117 members around 1875, five persons in 1913, and are considered to be extinct since 1956.
