On the great success of the Igreja Universal in Brazil
##The Brazilian neo-Pentecostal church Igreja Universal do Reino de Deus is quite young but already very famous in the whole country. Despite its controversial image it still attracts many believers, most of them searching for help with their personal problems. In my article I will analyze the great success of this church, proceeding from the cultural context and including the thoughts of the believers by presenting quotations of interviews and describing their worldview. To discuss the place of the Igreja Universal in the Brazilian culture I will compare some of its important elements with other already existing elements in Brazilian culture, mainly in the religious area, to find similarities and differences.##
