The cultural relations between Bali and the Basel Regio go back to research and practical projects of the Basel Museum of the Cultures and the Basel Music Academy that have gone on for several decades. The cultural exchange in the fields of science and the arts has led to lasting friendly contacts and prolific dialogues between the culturally active in Bali, Basel and Freiburg im Breisgau. Looked at it this way the CATUR YUGA project is to take stock of artistic and scientific activities so far and a long overdue interdisciplinary linking of music, dance, fine arts and cultural anthropology. CATUR YUGA intends to extend old relations and to establish new ones. Cakra Manggilingan - The wheel keeps on spinning...## Two artists, Madé Wianta from Bali, and Andreas Straub, show and conceptually interrelate their works in this exhibition.
