Cultural creativity in the case of the Madonna dell"Arco at Naples
In the case of the Madonna dell´Arco the authoress tries to show and understand the simultaneous existence of this cult and a modern life-world as well as folk traditions, theoretically based in part on the concept of the "cultura popolare" (S. de Matteis), and the successive inclusion of new elements into established culture (H. Bausinger). Göltenboth describes the legendary cult on the basis of source material, its present phenomenology, and the organization of the participants. She then theoretically elaborates on the notion of creativity, followed by a three-phase concept of cultural creativity aimed at the cult which is then analyzed and portrayed according to this three-step model.
