The image of Africa in Karen Blixens "Out of Africa"
##In this article, the author tackles the image of Africa in Blixen's novel "Out of Africa." After having given an appraisal of the novel as memoirs literature and its relation to reality, she analyses the myth of Africa and its real appearance. The second part of the article questions the integration of Africa in Blixen's world and the use of the continent as an ideal. The third part deals with the problem of the direct confrontation of the author with this ideal world, and the change which took place in Africa as a result of European colonization.##
