Joe's stories
Beer documents narrated stories circulating in a family in the Philippines. She describes the settings of these narrations, the personality of the narrator (Joe Pineda), and reactions of listeners. Topics are traditional myths, fairy tales, and other stories. Beer has grouped these stories: stories of bygone times, ghosts, stories of 'Juan', fairy tales, animals and plants, good luck and misfortune, cultural change and transmission of stories, and everyday stories
