Body, religion and power. Social anthropology of gender relations
This reader attempts to show positions and debates on gender in social anthropology, looking back at their emergence during the last two, three decades. The papers deal with gender, sex and relations in all practical and theoretical aspects. Gender and sexuality lose their seeming biological facticity in a discursive process - triggering changes in social, economic-political, and religious fields. The theoretical-methodological field of this volume is the problem of gender and power.
