This Africa Lexicon is the first of its kind in German language. Short articles report on past and present in all fields of knowledge: everyday life, history, politics, values, life forms, art, literature, philosophy, the sciences, media, etc., and there are articles on the various African countries. The information in this lexicon is scientifically based on current knowledge, but it aims to be of general, also popular use in order to introduce to the life worlds of Africa. 200 specialists from Africa and Europe have contributed to the lexicon.
